Should be on a "Best Seller"list

A book of this magnatude needs to be on the best seller list.It is written with an insight that only comes from many years of experience as a victim of Domestic Violence. The authors discriptive technique allows you to feel and see vividly the emotions that she as well as others in her book have gone through...A need to read book by all individuals who feel that they are alone in this cycle of violence. And also a need to read by those whose cannot believe that such a life exists. All need to read what the authors solutions are for survival.

The most honest revealing book in years

I was not able to put this book down until I completed it.Betty DellaCorte memoirs of her life growing up in Brooklyn and the abuse she endured in her second marriage took my breath away. The book describes how she gathered those who were going through the same situation, helping them to rise up out of the ashes to create one of the first Battered Womens shelters in the Country. This book was far better than "The Burning Bed", or any book on Domestic Violence that I have read. In her book she shares her Faith in a Higher Power, and how that gave her the strengh to restore her life and that of her children. After reading this book and reading the last review I did not think I was reading about the same women or book. I contacted the Attorney General Office in Phoenix, and the Shelter she created and heard the most glowing stories of what she and the people who worked at the Shelter had done for the community.Anyone can call their offices and get the same information that I did. The sick person who wrote this last review sounds as if his wife must have gone through her shelter, and he is trying to get back at the people who helped her...people can be so hateful, and in such denial about their own problems This is a must read book....By the way, more reviews such as the last one only makes people want to buy the book, I'm sure it's helping Betty DellaCorte sell more books...
