Good purchase

Fabulous and gripping to kids

I selected this book to read to kindergarteners as I was asked to come as a community reader at the local grade school. I wanted something that I could make "come to life" for these kids. It was suggested to me and I tested it out on my own 2 and 4 year old. They LOVED it! And so did the kids at the kindergarten. I made a different voice for each animal basing each voice on what we teach kids that animals say -- my duck is somewhat obnoxious as a duck's quack can be, etc. This book lends itself to plenty of action and if read right, it will captivate children!

A favorite!

This book is a must have. The combination of humor, story line and illustrations is wonderful. My kids (ages 3, 6, and 8)love to read this over and over and have, in fact, even taken it for show and tell! We look forward to seeing more from this author.

Best childrens book

This is my favorite out of the 100's of books I have for my daughters, sure hope to see more from this author!Highly recommended, what a wonderful story!

A must have!!

It is rare to find a book with excellent illustrations and story content. This book does both. My 5 and 2 1/2 yr old were spell bound waiting for "storms" coming. Perfect bedtime length!!A must for any childrens library!!

A very cute story. Excellent illustrations. This is a must for any childs library. The story is written with much flair in all the animals in this humorous little book.
