Synopsis

The warlocks have escaped from the prison world, Nocim, and approach their erstwhile allies with a sinister plot to topple the powers that be in their home-world of Adyssia. Armed with an ancient stone of obscure origin and a thirst for retribution, their leader, Vagon, descends upon the vampire city accompanied by thousands of the undead- whilst two of their own, have embarked on a separate quest; one which will open the floodgates of tragedy and alter the course of Adyssia's future. Meanwhile, in a secluded part of the vast forest to the north of the kingdom of Cassandia, one of the last guardians of the Oracle's Sphere, goes about his solitary existence, only to stumble upon a chilling discovery which the Elders are reluctant to share with the warriors at the fortress. Commander Nex of the WestGate regiment, soon uncovers the truth, and in a dazed act of desperation, he quickly heads for the armoury- where Gerii and his apprentice, Serena, toil away despite the unfolding events. It is here, that he learns of a possible way out and upon returning to the fortress, he instructs one of the Ranks to ignite the flame in the midst of bellowing war horns and frantic commotion. Nex and Commander Cen of the SouthGate regiment, make off to the stables in search of a winged horse and in their absence, Vagon's army approaches, marching swiftly from Angah (the vampire city), while the rest of the warlocks fly ahead to each of Elykra's four gates- eager to unleash their newly found true power.

Across the sea, in the north, the kingdom of Kendirah lies in awe with the rest of Adyssia. Unbeknownst to the populace, the warlocks' quest has succeeded and is the root cause for the events they are witnessing- to them it is an occurrence explained away by folklore- myths of an entity named Raig who dwelt in Adyssia in the earliest of days. Upon seeing the flame set off from the Remnant fortress (located in the heart of Elykra), the queen of Kendirah orders in reinforcements- thirteen of the most dreaded warriors, known as the Sendira. They soar ahead, the battle for the Oracle's Sphere already having begun - with Commander Asan of the NorthGate regiment, leading the last stand against the powerful warlocks.

In the aftermath of the battle, Serena and one of the fortress Keepers named Kathryn, are tasked with an important quest- to travel to a world called Earth and await the coming of age of the gatekeeper, whose birth is to occur centuries later. Howard Coleman is finally born in England, and grows up a loner in his home town of Bristol. A series of inexplicable events and a mysterious woman with a yellow umbrella signify the beginning of his story, as opposing forces make their desires for the Oracle's Sphere known - revealing a world of magic that Howard would have never imagined was possible.
