What is it like to have a fun, adventurous prophet for a grandma
Published by Zeta , 5 years ago
There are 28 wonderful chapters in this book and each is a different story told to Ella May White Robinson by the most sought temperance speaker in the United States and woman prophet of the Seventh Day Adventist Church by Ella's grandma Ellen G White. Ellen is a normal grandma most of the time. But it gets interesting when Ellen White starts talking about her travels like the time she and her husband Pastor James White crossed the hopefully frozen Mississippi River to see some parishioners. Then there is the train wreck that James and Ellen White were on that train. My favorite is when Ellen comes to her son Willie's house AND HAS A MESSAGE FROM GOD. Willie's family was in Australia along with Ellen, But Willie's family had their own home. Part of the message was for 14 year old Ella and her 10 year old sister Mabel. It is an interesting message. Ella decides to make some life changes. Ellen, Willie and May White are very loving, understanding people with their children and grandchildren,.This is an excellent book for age 9 to adult. There are fun, adventurous plus character stories in this book. This is a book that I will re-read many times.
