Stories I Tell While Touring in Israel

Every Israeli tour guide has dozens of stories about everything from ancient history to recent encounters. During a break in tours I decided to write some of my favorite stories down. This is a collection of those stories.What was Herod thinking about when he built a port facing Rome?Why does Israel's weather seem so different?What does it feel like to interact with the "Real Israelis?"I've had more careers than anyone I know. I guess I get bored easily. In the process of keeping myself from boredom I have explored, investigated and experienced Israel with many a wonderful twist. I can't tell all of my stories to every tour group and I can only accept about 20 tour groups every year so the time has come to share my stories here. I hope you enjoy!
