Dear readers, I am delighted to bring this anthology of stories which follow the earlier publication- Stories for our Times (ASIN: B07M7S48JJ).I had brought Stories for our Times to you with a deep conviction that they were different. The story lines were original, the characters genuine, the events unique and the outcomes unexpected. Stories from different times are just that, they come rooted in mythology, history, sociology and science fiction.All authors bring something of themselves into their stories. So many people and places that appear here are drawn from my life and but I assure, no person will be recognized or embarrassed. Mostly I have distilled the essential goodness of people. There are parts of the world I came across difficult or even dangerous people. Some of them appear in "A hole in the water". May they rest in peace.I thank again a leading and venerable newspaper of India for encouraging a reluctant writer, and a practicing physician, like me to pen these stories. From 2016 onwards they have been inviting, through three seasons, lay people to write stories around lines or paragraphs of story lines posted by published and accomplished writers.
