To preserve our peace of mind and our way of life, the men and women of the United States military often sacrifice their youth-and sometimes even their lives. They steadfastly guard the futures of millions of people they will never meet. Now over seventy-five riveting stories bring to life these heroes and the loved ones they have fought for. Organized in six themed sections: patriotism, inspiration, faith on the frontlines, love and family, honor and sacrifice, and dedication and courage. Stories from a Soldier's Heart honors those who carry in their warrior hearts the world's hope for freedom.
my friend bought me this book, and had it autographed for me to boot! i have read most of it, but is taking me a long time to read as it touches my heart, i start crying and can't see to read. tis a sad, happy, inspirational book. but not in a preachy way. i think everyone should read it, whether they be kids or adults.... it tells the feelings of all ages, and how war, military service has affected them. not, the least of which is, to mention how God helped them through those times. it gives one hope. great book! and it can be read over and over...i know i've read the real tear-jerker stories more than once.the poem: "mother's covers" is a memorizer for me! page 125.and i will get it all read, after i run to the store for more tissues! i laugh til i cry too! but mostly it is just touching. buy it, you'll be reading it for years, generations after you. tis a touch of history, love, and hope.
