For Christian children who celebrate Jesus, not Santa
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 22 years ago
Very simple text and pictures geared to pre-schoolers and young children. It covers the "Santa" questions--including explaining that some children believe Santa is real. This book also reinforces Christian Christmas tradition choices--reading the Christmas story, going to church on Christmas Eve, a birthday cake for Jesus, gathering with family, placing the baby Jesus in the manger on Christmas morning. It reinforces that Jesus loves us so much He died for us. The Dad is the one shown bringing in the presents--not Santa. They do have a Christmas tree, stockings and presents in this story. The nativity is placed under the Christmas tree. In terms of quality, the book looks like something you might be able to pick up at the dollar store. It is the message that makes this book special. I think this book would help children who are surrounded by worldly Christmas traditions to appreciate their Christian family traditions.
