This is a great book!

I read this book in my French class. My French teacher is the mother of the author, so I may be a little partial to it, but it was really a good story. The values were great! I loved the sillhouette illustrations! It is a great book for all ages. I highly recommend it!

A touching medieval-style folk tale

Ms Reichel's book, which she also illustrated, is a lovely, touching tale in the style of such well-known legends as "The Juggler of Notre Dame." It tells the story of Remi, a French stonecutter, and how he comes to fulfill the promise of his talents in his final sculpture. Although the book is for young people, like Shel Silverstein's "The Giving Tree," it contains truths that human beings of all ages should realize.
