Site Cradle was built to contain what was found beneath the mountain. Seven levels. Hundreds of residents. Families. Children.
Then the facility went dark.
Eighteen hours later, Umbra Defense Group sends in Void Team, a five-operator rapid response unit led by Nathan Reeves, to descend into the silent levels and restore containment. They expect survivors, casualties, and a threat they have trained for.
What they find is worse.
The creatures beneath Site Cradle do not hunt like animals. They listen. They learn. They study the people sent to kill them. They mimic any voice they hear with precision, and they call from the dark in voices the squad trusts.
As Void Team pushes deeper, every level takes something from them. Control. Certainty. Time.
The things in the dark do not need to outrun you. They just need to sound like someone you can't leave behind.
