After Poseidon's demigod son Perseus succeeded in killing Medusa with gifts from the gods, the remaining goddess sisters wanted blood. Their wounded mother Ceto wanted to fight fire with fire. If Aphrodite wanted to hurt her daughters, then Ceto would hurt Aphrodite's sons. Stheno was less than enthused at the prospect of having to use Deimos to avenge Medusa. She didn't trust the son of the goddess who cursed her and her sisters. Instead, Stheno was more inclined to seek the help of her oldest and most loyal friend, Zagreus, the reclusive god, and son of Hades. While Stheno needed more and more convincing to play Deimos to her advantage, her younger sister Euryale was finding it easier and easier to get close to Phobos. Zagreus also was becoming deeply suspicious of Deimos' usefulness when it came to making sure Medusa was vindicated for Perseus' treachery. As Deimos makes a dangerous mistake with Stheno, plans are shifted with the gorgon sisters. The more Stheno and Euryale need to band together, the more they are being torn apart. Would the underworld or the gods prove more helpful in Stheno getting the justice Medusa deserves?
