Steven Yessick's Loopy Ladies: Pen and Pencil Feminine Figurative Drawings Made with Loops

After I had been filling up page after page of loop drawings, like, so so many countless pages full of this one particular way of drawing angular loops, I was looking for another direction in which to take the loops. So, a close associate at that time suggested that I draw women, thus the Loopy Ladies were born.

I had done so so many countless drawings of this one certain angular way of drawing loops as therapy. I had to draw the loops just to feel ok some days. Drawing them helped me stay in motion, which I already knew would have been important, especially back then. Drawing my loops basically helped to keep my mind free of bad things that I didn't want in there.

When I began creating the Loopy Ladies drawings for this book, I was just beginning to overcome a great deal of negativity in my life that came from from various sources. The bad vibes from other people along with their constant streams of false and negative information was somehow all getting crammed into my head, like all of the time.

I only wanted to remove these negative thoughts from my head with a great level of quickness . When their decisions, words, and actions affected me in a way that was absolutely just less than thrilling to me, I would have done practically anything and everything possible for that madness to end. Every drawing that I made for this book was truly a step in the right direction on my path to be completely healed from these ongoing dilemmas.

All of the women in these drawings for this Loopy Ladies Book are funny, sweet, or cute in their own individual regards. All the Loopy Ladies are totally dressed casually in streetwear clothes, and usually are either standing or seated in different settings. They are all involved in exciting and interesting activities which seem to be fun and spontaneous in nature. The Loopy Ladies are meant to be just normal, everyday, fun-loving girls, or just your basic type chicks. The ladies are all drawn within environments which serve to enhance and contribute to the visual interest and appeal of each drawing, as well.

With this extremely interesting take on a form of drawing therapy that absolutely worked wonders for me, you will get the same level of visual interest that comes with the healing power of the looped line, made even more interesting than before. Instead of every drawing consisting entirely of loops, there is a delicate balance of loops and normal line work within each depiction. This variety of lines within each drawing makes these figurative females both interesting and appealing to the eye.

If you feel like it, you easily can get to know the ladies better. They are just fun to be around. However, it's entirely up to you, but an adventure into a world of hand drawn, fun-loving gals does sound like it could only be a good thing, you know?. I mean it's fun, and it's easy just to look at pictures.
