Stepping Off The Train: Escaping Religion

By James R Lutke

This is one of the most comprehensive books of its kind, helping people experience an honest look at what they believe and why they believe it. It is a simple, objective, easy to read, bird's eye view of religion: touching on everything from Sunday school to anthropology, biblical scholarship to government, psychology to evolution, and from sacrifice to Santa Claus. It reveals the truth about religion and exposes many of the numerous problems in the Bible and why they exist.
The author helps differentiate between myth, legend, and reality in Biblical stories. You will find a new insight and understanding of what religion is and where it came from.
Did you know Moses murdered tens of thousands of captive women and children? It's in the Bible. Did you know Angels had sex with humans? It's in the Bible. These and many other oddities, as well as a fresh objective look at who Jesus really was, and when, during our evolution, did mankind first begin having religious thoughts and why. All this is wonderfully presented in a way that everyone can read and understand.
