The word Apocalypse means unveiling. For most commentators, the Book of Revelation lifts the veil on the end of the world. However, even if the book does deal with the End Times, it deals, first and foremost, with Jesus' unveiling of the Woman (the Church), the nature of the Kingdom he inaugurated at his Resurrection, and the stakes of the spiritual battle that followed. This book is Jesus' Testimony on Salvation History. Our book is in three parts. Part One recalls the main symbols used in the text, the light shed by the "Covenant" notion on the ongoing spiritual battle, and the main stages in Salvation History. This makes it much easier to understand Part Two, which dives deep into the Book of Revelation, chapter by chapter, almost verse by verse, in search of the fullest possible understanding. To achieve this, we applied a methodology consisting of identifying keywords, intentionally inserted into the text by the author, to establish links with other passages of Scripture that shed light on its meaning. By studying the book of Revelation in this way, the seven churches, the four living creatures, the twenty-four elders, the scroll, the seals, the 144000, the trumpets, the seven thunders, the two witnesses, the Woman, the dragon, the beasts, the heads, the horns, Babylon, the cups, Armageddon, the 1000 years, and, finally, Gog and Magog, found their place, without forcing, in the puzzle of history. Part Three offers a synopsis of the most important points and an overview of Salvation History. We invite you to join us as we explore, step by step, the most enigmatic book ever.
