Step Away From the Keyboard, Kevin is not a craft guide, not therapy, and not encouragement. It is a polemical intervention. It names the pattern, maps the delusion, and introduces you to the Lion: the indifferent market that does not care how badly you want this.

There are only two sanctioned endings:

The Artifact That Holds. You finish the book, it works, and strangers are held by it.

The Burial. You decide the dream is over and walk away.

This book offers no systems, no prompts, and no "five things successful writers do differently." It issues verdicts. It is for the dreamer who has mistaken identity for outcome, the editors and partners exhausted by someone else's almost-book, and anyone who suspects their hope is stapled to the wrong dream.
