Marcia Mar is a multimedia artist, poet, writer, performer, singer and an experimental composer. Awarded "Best Brazilian Visual Artist in the UK" by the Brazilian International Press Award in 2012, Marcia voiced a Manifesto: "We are all Artists, the 7 billion of Us, equally talented co-creating our shared life". Marcia's work is entirely derived from the creative act of self-appointment and emerges from an intuitive meditation which receives its influences from every aspect of life's poetic observations, sensations, pro-perceptions, synaesthesia and dreams. Marcia, a citizen of the world, was born in the south Brazilian city of "Porto Alegre" where she was a student leader during the movement for democratic direct elections which collectively ended the era of military dictatorship. Marcia lives in London where she worked in the fields of public health, social equality and human rights with people from various ethnicities.
