Not your average chick-lit...

Stay At Home by Sarah Phelan explored a different kind of relationship than the chick-lit books I'd read in the past, but it still had the humor and romance that I like of that genre. I was genuinely interested in the characters and what would happen next. I hope we see more from this author! -Kim E!

Couldn't put it down

I read this book in 4 days. Between kids, housework, work, golf and watching TV. (I read during commercials.) The characters are great. You get attached to each one differently. I didn't want the book to end. Can't wait for a sequel, hope there is one. It would make a great movie!

Runs the gauntlet of emotions

I found "Stay at Home" to be quite enjojable. What starts out as a cute, innocent, and light hearted fiary tale story quickly changes into an amazing drama, where like in real life, everyone is trying to get the most out of what they think they want in life only to discover that sometimes getting what you wish for is not always what is really important to you. A great work of fiction by Mrs. Phelan! I look forward to her next work.

Surprises await

Surprises await you in this book! Looking for a light-hearted romance I picked up Sarah Phelan's book Stay-At-Home. I figured that the pink cover pretty much said it all. But, shortly after starting this book I found that it was not your average romance novel. I was unexpectedly brought down a fun and often emotional trail in the life of the main character Janie Hadley. I witnessed the extraordinary events that occurred in a stay-at-home mother's life and found myself caught up in the story and rooting for her the whole way. It should also be mentioned that Phelan succeeds in creating an atmosphere of romance within a setting of dirty diapers and band aids. For that alone, Phelan's book is definitely worth reading.

Great book!

Stay at Home is a great book with in depth character development. Ms Phelan does a great job of making the reader want to know more of each of the characters throughout the story. You either root for the charcters you love or want the characters you despise to fall flat on their face. The difficulty that Billy has expressing his feelings when he realizes his emotions for Janie is realistic as he trips through his words trying to coomunicate how he feels. Ms Phelan does an excellent job of weaving the characters into a smooth story line the flows easily, keeping the reader enticed within the story.
