"Once ranked as one of the world's most fish-rich lakes, with 54 species of fish, the failure to respect and enforce fishing legislation and the violation of environmental laws have meant that Lake Albert currently has only fourteen(14) species of fish in its part of the Democratic Republic of Congo".
