The text was designed as an aid in preparing for academic exams of Statistics and Statistical Inference, especially in those degree programs where statistics do not it is a characterizing discipline; it can also be of help in degree courses in which the matter is dealt with more solidly. The book provides, for its consultation, a preparatory knowledge of fundamental principles and techniques of descriptive statistics and is divided into three parts: the first section deals with the issue of interval estimation, in the second section the topic of the hypotheses test, in the third, finally, linear regression models. In order for the proposed topics to be clearly understood, it will be alternated the pure theory to practical examples concretely realized in various working realities: examining the examples it is, in fact, possible to go back immediately to the theoretical concepts.
