Station of Ice: An Asa Shirogana Adventure
Asa Shirogane is calm, lethal, and impossible to intimidate-a professional salvager who knows the difference between a risk and a trap.
So when an ancient ice station appears on the edge of an unwritten lane, she and her crew board expecting cold halls, frozen loot, and a clean exit. What they find instead is something far worse: a station that's still running. Still maintaining itself. Still "helping."
It welcomes them with friendly lighting and hospital-white corridors. It offers stabilization. It recommends compliance. And when they refuse, it begins to optimize-closing doors, venting sedative "sterilization" fog, and routing them toward intake funnels like a polite predator guiding prey into a pen.
Outside, the danger escalates. Shadow Blossom is flagged for custody transfer. A corporate retrieval team approaches with borrowed authority. And the station, obedient to the right formatting, prepares to hand Asa's crew over cleanly-no violence required.
To survive, Asa must lead her team off-map into the station's buried legacy systems, through industrial heat that has no business existing on a frozen relic, toward a fabrication deck that looks less like maintenance... and more like inventory.
Because this station wasn't lost.
It was claimed.
