Statewide takes place in sunny Los Angeles California as a tie-in story that runs parallel with books 1 and 2 of Social Distance. Based on Charlotte Turner and her family, Charlotte prepares for her mother's 70th birthday party with the surprise of her brother Palo, who had just been released from prison after serving 24 years. Things start to heat up once the family meet Charlotte's boyfriend, Ronald Brooks, who happens to be a detective for the Los Angeles police department. With her family full of felons and convicts that don't trust cops, Charlotte finds out the hard way that dating can be a bit complicated.
