The second in the Stash Robinson travel journal series.The Adventure Machine is dead. Stash and Powder roll on. This season's rig is a 1989 Dodge Ram Van named Scarlet. Summer work affords them the opportunity to set up Scarlet perfect for living the vanlife. Their adventure takes them west, from Minnesota to California. Along the way they explore the cities, the mountains, canyons, caves, rivers, lakes, and even the creepy Salton Sea. Searching for a True and Meaningful way of life, the strange pair find themselves in some prickly situations. Sinister characters and hostile terrain frequently threaten to end the journey. And even though Stash swore he would never return, it seems some unknown force keeps pulling him to Slab City. This time, they set up camp in the Far Out Wash on the outskirts of the Slabs, in a tree Stash names Low Key Tree. Living in Low Key Tree is paradise, like a tropical island, until Slab City gets wild with travelers from around the world. And when Stash makes up a batch of mescaline tea and meets the Cosmic Jellyfish, things really start to get weird.
