Author Beth Hayes noticed the books recommended to her were depressing or disturbing. She didn't want to read a book that opened with a horrific car crash or one described as being about a girl with nightmares. She wanted a book that was fun, happy, and adventurous. So she wrote the book she would want to read. Her debut novel, Start At One, is inspired by her favorite authors, Janet Evanovich and Adriana Trigiani. It's full of quirky, resourceful characters and is lots of fun.
