A rare gem from the early days of "Marvel" Star Wars.

Marvel released four Star Wars "paperback" illustrated comics between 1977 and 1983. These included: Star Wars Nov 1977 0-345-27492-X (Available in both Soft and ULTRA-RARE hardcover version - Black and White) The Empire Strikes Back May 1980 0-9604146-0-6 (TWO versions exist. One VERY rare 1st edition depicts Yoda appearing quite different than he ended up looking in the film. Later, reprint editions corrected this). Color. Four New Adventures in Full Color Nov 1981 0-9604146-8-1 (Great Marvel adventures... in Color!) Star Wars 2: World of Fire Oct 1982 0-939766-14-0 (Only slighty less rare than "Four New Adventures", probably because of the lack of color). Black and White. Return of the Jedi May 1983 0-939766-58-2 Color. Star Wars "world of fire" and also "four new adventures" are required additions to any serious classic Star Wars comic book collection. If you love the "Marvel" Star Wars universe, you absolutely HAVE to get these. The only one of these Paperbacks that doesn't generate a lot of interest, is the Return of the Jedi adaption. By this point in time, Marvel had basically fallen into a rut with its Star Wars series. The original Star Wars paperback (especially in hardcover form) and the Empire Strikes back (because of the "different" Yoda) are of great interest to collectors as well. Highly recommended! JM
