Fabulous!!!!

I love this book!!!! Parker Harrigan was such a wonderful, caring, sensitive and strong character. His compassion towards Raine Hall's marital abuse brought tears to my eyes. I admire Raine for the steps she took to take her life back. "Star Bright" is classic Catherine Anderson and I highly recommend it to all fans of the romance genre.

Don't miss this book!

I couldn't put this book down! It was such an incredible read that I laughed and cried while I read it. This love story brought out many emotions in me. As I was in an abusive marriage in the past, I wish I could have read this book a long time ago. It may have spared me some turbulent years. Catherine Anderson knows how to tell a story. I know I felt uplifted after reading it. I just went out and bought a few more of her books today, and I plan to share them with my friends at work.

A Love Story to Remember

Romance is the main theme in this book, but the suspense puts some action on the page. The characters have a great chemistry and are well thought out. This is a must read for anyone who loves a true romance novel. Rainie marries the man of her dreams just to discover he is really a nightmare. And a murderer. She fakes her death and changes her looks to escape him. Her new boss suspects something is up with her, but he is careful and not pushy. His strength and support help Rainie to overcome her fears and a romance begins. But, her ex husband discovers she is still alive and comes for her! It was snowing outside when I read this. I was all cuddled up in a fluffly throw blanket near the fireplace. It was so easy to tune out the business of my life and take a little time for myself. I highly recommend the book...and the experience!

Another Great Read!

Big hats off to Ms. Anderson! A master storyteller, she once again delivers a great romance---and this time with an element of suspense. This particular book also visits the social theme of abusive relationships, and self defense. What has drawn me to Anderson's books again and again is her realistic characters. While not whole emotionally and/or physically, the characters are ultimately successful at finding love. How uplifting to read a story of inspiration during these times of struggle in our nation and also globally. I really needed this escape. The way that her character, Rainie, combats the social theme of abuse sends a positive message to those who have not had the inner courage to fight back. If just one reader's life is spared as a result of reading this book, then I think Ms. Anderson would have deep satisfaction in knowing her efforts made a difference in someone's life. Still, most will read STAR BRIGHT for the sheer enjoyment factor. And that's a good thing. Parker Harrigan gives Rainie encouragement to find inner strength and to fight for her life and the chance to find true love. It is romance at its finest! Abused women in all parts who identify with the heroine in this book will find hope and inspiration in STAR BRIGHT.
