A Real Life Changer

I read this book a couple of years ago now, It was a defining moment in my life. I have been on a journey of self discovery and personal growth for about twenty years and this is one of the most profound books I have read in that time. Not only did Bryce help me understand why I am the way I am, his positive approach helped me understand why others are the way they are and how I can relate to them in ways that are constructive and edifying (for those who read the book, I'm a strong Blue) This is a must have for anyone interested in understanding themselves more completely.

Excellent book for understanding learners

As a teacher, I read this comprehensive book after the author came to our school and made a three-day presentation to our faculty about how to adjust our teaching styles to accommodate the learning styles of our students. This book opened my eyes as to why my difficult-to-teach students do the things they do and how I can make some simple changes to engage their brains. Professor Bryce calls it "teaching to the nexus" and once teachers and parents understand the anatomy of a learner, like a doctor who understands the anatomy of a patient, we're able to present information in ways that are appealing to that learner. This is a book every teacher ought to read over and over again. It is packed with nuggets of meaningful information that not only helps me be a better teacher, but a better friend, colleague, leader, parent, lover--virtually every role I play in my life.
