Stakeholder Management in the mining and metal industry

This work looks at the state of corporate sustainability today and provides a review of the actions taken by companies in the industry related environment of RHI AG (Radex-Heraklith Industriebeteiligungs Aktiengesellschaft) to integrate responsible practices in the field of stakeholder management into their operations. The work is based on qualitative content analysis of sustainability reports of eight selected companies from the mining and metal industry. The work provides a view of how organizations are adjusting their practices to address today's sustainability program. The purpose of this work is to assess the organizations' actions (i.e. to find and analyze their common practice) and then look specifically at the stakeholder management approach as stakeholder dialog and materiality. This work is also a guide to the mining and metal industry and for today's frameworks of sustainability reports.
