This collection of poems follows up on my first, Falling Leaves, published in 2017. It is set out in five sections. 'Seasons' is a sequence of nature poems running through the year. 'Places' refer to locations where I have lived: Africa, Liverpool and Greece. The final three sections cover a variety of topics, including environmental and political issues in the modern world. These are mixed together with thoughts about the human condition, leavened a little by some (occasionally wry) humour, and a few exercises in pure whimsy. The author is a retired historian living in West Lancashire.
