This graduate-level text offers a thorough understanding of the global stability properties essential to designing adaptive systems. Its self-contained, unified presentation includes detailed case... This description may be from another edition of this product.
A very good book for neophytes in adaptive control as well as those who want to refresh concepts learned ages ago. The book is self-contained insofar as the history of adaptive control and the preliminaries are concerned. A wide class of systems has been analysed. The concepts are initially illustrated for simple systems, and the restrictions imposed on the class of systems is gradually eased to include multivariable and non-minimum plants. Key issues such as robustness and system identification using persistent excitation have been discussed in sufficient detail.
