A Masterpiece Study on the Gospel according to John

Very well researched work with numerous cross references including the teachings in the Catechism of the Catholic Church.

Excellent resource for catholics

I would give it five stars plus if the text from John was included. It is a bit cumbersome to read while on the road or away from home as you can't reference the scripture without having a bible to look at. Even then with a bible it is frustrating.

A deeper look at the Gospel of John

If you want to really dig deeply into the Gospel of John this book is for you. It has many notes including some from the church fathers, some historical, some theological, word studies and more. My only complaint,and it's a small one, is that the bible verses are not in the book. You have to read your bible then look up the comments, but thats not a big deal. This is a valuable resource for any catholic, and in my opinion probably the best catholic bible study out there. Stephen Ray has really done a great service for the ordinary catholic who wants to know the bible better.

Serious Catholic Study

Our Parish has used Mr. Ray's guide for two trips through the Gospel according to St. John. It is an incredible resource for groups who have serious interest in Bible Study. (I would expect nothing less of an author than a 5-star rating for his work! This piece happens to actually deserve it.)
