Not for Most DBAs

SQL Server DTS is not for the DBA who doesn't like programming. It's for DBAs that code and developers who are familiar with SQL Server. For example, I have yet to see a better description on how to build a custom DTS task with Visual Basic - its complete & easy to follow.

Not for DBAs

If you are a DBA who wants all the nitty gritty about DTS, this isn't your book. However, if you are programmer (with some DBA credentials) this will compliment Microsoft's help & documentation nicely. For example, someone trying to create their own custom task with Visual Basic will find Chapter 16 pretty useful. Moreover, if you needed to create a VB application to load up an XML document...All in all, a good read for the programmer wanting to work DTS.
