Tom Jackson, a handsome traveling salesman from Texas, steps off the train in quaint Magnolia, Mississippi. It is 1923 and life in the South is good. Tom came to town to peddle his wares and move on. He was not expecting to set eyes on Miss Mary Abbott. Something so sweet and intriguing about his young lady finds Tom returning to Magnolia, courting her and asking the sassy little sales clerk for her hand in marriage.
