Memories of my home town went into this one...

The story grabs you as you read about the old man and his dog. The Prologue sets the hook and never lets go. The lives of the two boys, Billy and Tommy are fun to read about. I used my sons Bryce and Brent as the inspiration for these two boys. The mystery out at the forest is engaging and fun and somewhat frightening. My research about this animal paid off. It was the king of predators in its day. Before the research,I never knew such an animal ever existed; made for a fun and engaging story as the tale came alive and pulled me in, the way you want to be when you've started a good book or when you begin to write one.
