I see this as a strong poem, an anthem to personal growth, hope, and perseverance. The drumbeat of the anthem is carried by the refrain "Keep, keeping on" and its variations throughout the poem. The theme of survival of an illness is also woven nicely with repetitions and variations of the word "survivor" throughout. And the theme of the Poet's purpose is very upbeat, carried from the title right through the poem
