Island is a privileged IT gal in her early 20's who has 0 skills on dating & relationships. She lives vicariously through her roommate Joy and by reading romance novels. Coming home one night she encounters a man (March) with a gun in their apt who is waiting for her but has also cleaned and organized the apt. Scared but intrigued, Island learns he's actually a hit man and she is a key to a missing diamond her deceased mother supposedly stole. Coming to terms with the lies that built her parental relationship she is kidnapped by March and on a journey to find said diamond. Comedy, violence, OCD, Stockholm syndrome, mystery, & some far fetched story lines complete this book setting it up for the next in the series. Enjoyable, incredulous, sometimes icky, & clean read
