They called themselves the Fatal Four. They are spot rushers. Robbing drug dealers. Using sexual prowess and bewildering charm they have the ability to get next to any drug dealer's trust. It's on after the victim's confidence has been compromised once inside the dealer's assets and worth are assessed. After finding where the secret stash of jewelry and money are hidden, the group moves in with guns and do dirt the ski mask-way. Sabrina, Rayne, Bernadette and Dora Dean successfully robbed dozens of drug dealers over the years. One night a spot rush went bad and one of the girls is murdered. Their lives were never the same. They are forced to pick up the pieces. It used to be all about the streets and getting ready for another spot rush. Now there was nothing but the uncertainty of living a regular life. They had known nothing but the streets, each surviving girl was left at the crossroads pondering where their life would turn.
The first installment of the Gangstress collection has created a buzz, and for good reason. The carnage is EPIC!!! One thing's for certain- you'd want any one of these chicks on your team and not against you. Parts of the bloody violence will make some people cringe, but Spot Rusher's isn't a one-trick pony. Dark humor lightens the mood up at the perfect moments. Characters are rich and believable, and the story pace is full throttle from beginning to end. Cop it-if you're a reader, you'll burn through it in a day, and you might learn how to do away with your foes... wait... scratch that last part out... I never said that.
Female Fatales (3.5 Stars)
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 17 years ago
Brandon McCalla kicks off his five book Gangstress Collection series with Spot Rushers a novel about four females (Sabrina, Rayne, Bernadette and Dora Dean) who have no problem running up in your spot. Trevor helped to form the Fatal four as they call themselves but they soon became too much for even him to control. The book begins with a spot rush that goes horribly wrong and then backtracks to how the team was formulated and to where do they go from here. The most compelling member of the fatal four was Rayne who was straight 730. And the book is actually narrated by her the craziest memeber of the crew with or without her Lithium or Zoloft medications. Kudos go out to Mr. McCalla for daring to be different and penning the Gangstress Collection. But I wasn't as impressed with this book as I had been with his two previous releases in The Diamond Drought Series: Diamond Drought (The Diamond Series)Diamond Dynasty If a first time author had written Spot Rushers they could have easily garnered five stars. But being a fan of Mr. McCalla's previous novels I know that he could of given the readers so much more in Spot Rushers. Like for example a more extensive look into Trevor and how he was able to maintain his short-lived authority over the fatal four. But withstanding my afore mentioned issue with Spot Rushers I still plan on reading the Gangstress Collection in it's entirety especially after the preview of the 2nd book Gangirls that's included in Spot Rushers. And I advise other readers to do the same!
Someone put it down for the FEMALES
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 17 years ago
Now, we know I don't hold my tongue when I review anything. So, when I say this book is HOTT. That's just what I mean. These females were putting it down. REAL TALK. Talk about Action, drama, and storyline all wrapped up in one. Mr. Mccalla I will give you a job well done on this one. I read this book straight through, and at the end I was BEGGING for more. So, I was happy when I this is a collection. Whew.. Can't wait for book two. But, back to the story. Rayne and Sabrina were BAD Bitches, and I mean all fu**ed up..Just like I like em. Bernadette was just down for her and her girls.. I see you Dora Dean...you played your position until the end. These girls were spot rushing as a career, and they were damn good at too. Rayne will make you love this story and your girls a little bit more...
