Sport & Picture Book: Along Time Ago

I wanted to create a smaller version of my original book, "Detour From Normal, Reality Check". This book is two sections taken from that book. My original book is an extension of "The Adventures of Tom & Jeff Series", a look into the unconventional life of Tommy and Jeff Clinkenbeard, magical, dreamlike and fantastic adventures that had to be told. This book was created because one of my granddaughters asked me if I ever played sports when I was young, my grandkids are very active in sports. Well, this book is in response to that question, yes, I did play sports. I lived for sports when I was young, I guess my children never discussed that with my grandkids, so I will respond the best way possible, in a book. This book goes back in time, to the late 1960's and 1970's, a time when things seemed simpler, to me. It was a time when all the kids could join in and have fun, it was available to all. Your parents did not have to pay for you to join a team, there was a lot less stress on the child and the family. We did not walk around with our eyes glued to a phone, or worry about gangs trying to start trouble. Along with the history lesson on a great time to play sports is a lot of great pictures of newspaper articles, vacations and snapshots of very memorable moments in my life. This is a short version of things I never want to forget, a time that cannot be forgotten, a time of fun, friendship and life. Todays world is so unpredictable, politically, economically and sociably. There is a great divide in our country on many fronts, our questions are stagnating with no resolve in sight. We are faced with climate changes, viruses and doomsday speeches that constantly play out on the news. This book will take you back to a time when life was worth living, tomorrow had promises and dreams were never ending. I miss those days..
