"Spokes and Jokes" is a bit of pleasant Americana that will help you to escape, at least temporarily, the overwhelming unpleasantries we face in these unsettled times. Pokes at "Spokes and Jokes"

Believe me you'll not often find a book such as this, and that's no joke! Here is an easy read that'll be hard to put down. Here we see an extraordinary look at ordinary people. In taking on a coast to coast bicycle ride with little or no support. The author's exceptional physical condition is surpassed only by his ability to organize an honest "feel" for the people of this diverse country. He gives us a picture and a few thoughts on the people he encounters during his trek. In return most give a joke as repayment for their encounter with the author. Through it all, this book will give you the feeling that "Chuckers" is very a bright and funny gentleman and the rest of us aren't too bad either. Thanks Mr. Dodd for giving me a trip across our great country.
