Splash is the first book of watercolor paintings by Maine watercolor artist Peter Welch. Peter has been studying watercolor painting since 2002, first with Kittery Point, Maine Artist Wendy Turner and then with New Hampshire Seacoast Artist Dorine Gross. His award winning watercolors have received numerous accolades, including selection for the Portsmouth, New Hampshire Family's First 'Artists of the Seacoast' Calendar for 2007, 2009, 2011, 2015, and 2017.Welch says, "Watercolor painting has been a wonderful blessing in my life. It has provided so many rich lessons, including learning how to be more patient, celebrating spontaneity, and seeing the beauty in everything around me. What gifts."When he's not painting, Peter works with AAUP - American Association of University Professors at the UNH campus, and also teaches in the UNH Women's Studies program.
