Alan Holt finished a cattle drive for J. G. Witt to Hayes City, Kansas. It was June, so he decided to go on to Texas to find work on a cattle ranch. On the way he had indian trouble, and then met a young lady in trouble. After helping the young girl he got on his way to Texas. He had no idea what he was about to get himself into.
