The first book in our series of Spiritual Warriors, "Spiritual Battle Rattle: God's Armor," dealt with the importance of wearing the armor of God as outlined in Ephesians 6:10-18. Christians must prepare to engage and fight against the spiritual forces of evil in heavenly places. Just as battle injuries occur in physical warfare, there will be inevitable spiritual battle wounds. Spiritual wounds are invisible battle injuries that affect one's heart, mind, or psyche/soul, which can be as incapacitating as physical, emotional, or moral wounds. Thus, a spiritually wounded warrior is any Christian soldier (whether serving in the military or not) who suffers a spiritual or battle injury that can sideline them from completing their assigned mission of living for the Lord and remaining faithful until death or when Jesus returns in the clouds to take His people home.
