The author used poetry to cope with a series of traumatic life set backs such as domestic violence resulting in a miscarriage, drug addiction and severe Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Using poetry as a coping mechanism led the author to a triumphant life including obtaining a Master's degree, a position with a major American corporation and a future with endless possibilities.
