I, DALSTON HARRISON JR. despite my ups and downs, my failures,
my family tragedies, and there have been so many over the last fi ve and
a half years, I made a promise to My Loving God to write this new book
release called SPIRITUAL REFLECTIONS: LYRICS TO GOD. Yes, it
wasn't easy because of life changes, job changes, bad relationship breakups,
moving several years ago, and also a lot of distractions and emotional pain.
I was torn up inside and out after my mother passed on January 16, 2020.
I wasn't myself, wasn't going out, was distant from my family and just
couldn't write for three years. 17 months later, my father died on June 6,
2021, then my favorite Aunt named Mary in July 2021. My family and I
were devastated, and I lost my writing skills, and I just didn't feel like writing
for a long time. Suddenly, in 2023, my life turned around and gave me a
new realization to get back on track, so I did and used this sad experience
as my motivation and inspiration to fi nally fi nish this long, awaited book
of gospel lyrics that I promised to write over fi ve and a half years ago. I am
thankful and very proud of myself for not giving up, and I am carrying
out this long overdue promise to God. Someone say, AMEN I am also
more at ease, more organized, and I spend time with my children and other
family members. Th is new book release refl ects a lot of my gospel songs
that I wrote over the last fi ve years, and I decided to put them all together,
showcasing my lyrical talent, my life changes, and my continuous belief in
God. For those of you who continue to dream as I do, don't stop because
you don't know when your dream will fi nally come true Amen
