"Spiritual Growth of a Young Lion" is a body of poetry that deals with the experiences in the community that a young so-called Black male experienced. After graduating College and moving to San Jose, California, I was not in the deepest Hoods in America. However, the struggle was REAL. I learned that being over 6 feet tall with a degree in Accounting, your chances of getting past entry-level in that arena are very slim, unless you are from Africa., not African-American. You have to be SPIRITUAL in order to deal with the American deceit, having you believe there is greener pastures, but all you end up having is a bill. I will not tell you that my Spirit was RIGHTEOUS, because I had not met my present self, but I was under development.. Now, I realize that The Most High God did not immediately bring me to him, but I had to prove to Him that I desired to be His Servant Do not expect all the answers, but expect safety in your journey.
