Still on my Nightstand After 15 Years

This treasure was given to me by my priest in 1995, and almost 15 years later it is still on my nightstand and read almost every night. There is a virtue for every month (Union, Humility, Charity, Meekness, Confidence, Mortification, Diligence, Perfection, etc) and every day a quote from a saint related to that virtue followed by a short story of some saint illustrating the point. There are lots of different saints mentioned, but the author selected a lot from St. Francis de Sales, St. Francis of Assisi, St. Theresa of Avila, St. John of the Cross, and St. Vincent de Paul. Each day's entry is less than a dozen sentences but provides good food for thought. Highly recommended.
