The class leader system or discipleship through small groups is an effective tool used by leaders to connect directly with members of a congregation. The method mirrors Jesus' walk with his twelve disciples. Rather than welcoming them into the faith and leaving them on their own to figure out how to live a Christian lifestyle, Jesus created a model of walking with his disciples and teaching them life lessons along the way.Many churches have experienced exponential growth by utilizing this model of ministry while others have failed to embrace the value of walking with and teaching those under their charge.
