Read the entire Bible in a year; Psalms and Proverbs, 12 times each in the same year. Does following this plan sound impossible? It takes 70 hours and 40 minutes(about 3 days) to read the entire Bible at the pulpit rate. It takes 52 hours and 20 minutes (a little over two days) to read the entire Old Testament.It takes18 hours and 20 minutes (less than two days) to read the entire New Testament. It takes 4 hours and 28 minutes to read the entire book of Psalms- the longest book to read in the Old Testament. It takes 2 hours 43 minutes to read the Gospel of Luke- the longest book to read in the New Testament. This reading guide can be used exclusively as a Devotional Guide or be used alongside other devotionals. Using this reading guide calls for effective time management. My book "Time Your Life" will be very helpful. A French nobleman, M. De Renty, read the Bible daily for three hours on his knees with uncovered head. Lady Frances Hobart read the Psalms 12 times a year, the New Testament 3 times, and other parts of the Old Testament once.
