Raising a teenager isn't easy, and Deanna Turner has her hands full with her seventeen-year-old son, Nathan. A single mother with many things of her own to deal with, Nathan adds his own challenges to her list. Knowing she's fighting a losing battle with their finances, she makes the hard decision to sell the house they own and move into a rental. On top of all that her son's struggling in school, and not just with his grades. Deanna tries to help her son who doesn't seem to want anything to do with her or any of her suggestions. All Nathan cares about is skateboarding with his friends. It isn't until a sudden death of one of Nathan's friends that leads Deanna to find out something bad is happening, not just her son, but all his skateboarding friends too. She takes on a big risk when she decides to do something about her discoveries. It seems to her that not just kids can be bullies, and when she finds out the truth about what's really happening to Nathan and all his friends, Deanna's able to show her son what unconditional love is all about.
