Excellent ghost story

I have read this book many times over the past several years and enjoyed it time and time again. The author spins a ghost/love story using very descriptive terms that make you feel you are there with the heroine while she battles a beautiful and vicious spirit for the love of her husband. Definitely one of my favorite books. BUT...the movie did not follow the story line and was a major disappointment.
