A wonderful book Written many years ago.

I read this book many years ago. And I always regretted giving rid of the book. It's for all level of readers Who accepted Jesus As their Lord and savior. Without the Holy Spirit we cannot do anything.

Start on a journey to be the best you can be!

While at college, this was one of the books you had to read in just about every class I seemed to take. Psychology was my minor so there was no getting around learning who people really were and why they acted the way they did. Telling them these things on the other hand would infuriate them. How could anyone know who they really were? How dare I analyze them! This book is hard to take because it also teaches you what your faults are and then you have to decide whether or not you want to change. No one likes change! If you could just be all the good qualities they discuss, you would be an amazing person. Oh well, I guess we are just human after all. If you are interested in understanding how to be more like God, this book will help you to start towards that journey. If you are not dedicated to developing your soul, this book is not for you. To be spirit controlled is to have God work on your life until your are the person you should be. It doesn't sound that bad when you put it in those words... ~The Rebecca Review

Excellent! Incredible! A sharp stab of revealing truth!

I just read a review of this book that made my eyes water. I can see how not everybody would be flattered by this book. It's pretty convicting.I found it refreshing as it was straight forward and didn't "pad the blows." Not only did it point straight to the truth of human nature, it abolished the idea that we, as humans, can make it in this world without the Lord. I was so very impressed with the truth given quickly, and then the blessings added. Not only did it point out how truly selfish we were, it then lifted us to new heights with the reality that God can change it all. Amen to Dr. LaHaye! Thank God for his wisdom and his ability to share God's heart. Finally, a book that calls it as it is.

A great book for learning about everyone's behavior

This book is a great learning tool into understanding why people act the way they do. It would be an awesome book for married couples to read. It really helps you to see that some things people do and say are just part of who they are and they can't control them. It also helps you learn how to change your weaknesses by being Spirit-controlled. Your weaknesses can be turned into strengths by the power of the Holy Spirit!

Excellent read for Christians and non-believers alike

LaHaye does an excellent job of explaining the good AND bad of each of the 4 temperament types. His plain language description and 'life-like' examples make it easy to understand your neighbor, coworker or better...your spouse. I found this book a tremendous help - the temperament analysis test offered in the back was AMAZING in it's accuracy. I would suggest this a must-read for anyone who really needs to understand others (which is all of us...!) As a believer myself - I know that we're doomed to exist in the 'bad' side of our temperaments - it's natural - and LaHaye does a good job of helping the reader understand how he/she can 'choose' to find the good side and lift it up to the top.
